![]() ![]() Two years ago I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia, with an ulcer (non-bacterial) in the herniated section. ![]() I always thought it was a pretty bogus answer. I was stuck on the couch for 2 weeks since any movement was painful. They said it was "temporary arthritis of an immovable joint" and sent me home with pain meds. My heart was fine and the chest x-rays were normal. I had crippling pain in my chest and called my wife to pick me up and take me to the ER. Sports as a kid was difficult because my ankles always gave out on me while running.Ībout 8 years ago I was walking back to my car when I thought I was having a heart attack. I frequently have my elbow or wrist pop out painfully when picking up a can of soda. I've have had my hips pop out painfully more than a few times (Dr said hips don't do that, oddly enough). ![]() I can't sneak down a hallway without my feet cracking constantly. Speaking of joints popping, they all pop out or at least make loud creaking noises. My pinky fingers and thumbs pop out in certain positions. In high school I was able to squeeze my body through an unstrung tennis racket before I bulked up a bit. I'm able to turn my ankles 90degrees to the side and walk on the sides of my feet (extremely large flat feet). I'm starting to think I have EDS III, but I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction if I give my history. ![]() I've seen my GP, a neurologist, an osteopath, a rheumatologist, a thoracic surgeon, and too many physical therapists to count. ![]()
